JOHN WICK Chapters 4 and 5 Confirmed by Lionsgate and Will Shoot Back-to-Back Next Year
Lionsgate has confirmed that John Wick is getting back-to-back sequels! The plan is to shoot John Wick: Chapter 4 and John Wick: Chapter 5 back-to-back next year.
Keanu Reeves will obviously be back and kicking ass in the title role and I imagine that Chad Stahelski will also return to the franchise to direct the films.
The news comes from Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer, who said, “We’re also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theaters Memorial Day weekend 2022. We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 & 5 back to back when Keanu becomes available early next year.”
When previously talking about Chapter 4, the director admits that it will be more difficult to make than the other films. It will be hard for them to up the ante on what they’ve already done. They continue to raise the bar in terms of action, so I can’t wait to see what they’re going to do with these next two movies!
John Wick got hurt super bad in Chapter 3, and unless there’s some kind of Lazarus Pit introduced that can heal him, I don’t know how he’s going to fight unless it’s in a wheelchair, which we could actually see! Who knows!
