Jon Bernthal Curses Out Tom Holland in Hilarious SPIDER-MAN 4 Behind-the-Scenes Clip

Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal might play two superheroes with very different approaches to fighting crime, but it looks like they had a blast working together on Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

A newly released R-rated blooper from the Marvel movie shows the actors having some fun during an action scene, with Bernthal dropping an F-bomb that makes the moment even funnier.

The official Spider-Man: Brand New Day social media account shared the hilarious clip, which comes from the film's big New York City tank-chase sequence involving Spider-Man and the Punisher.

In the footage, Holland is perched on top of a heavily armored vehicle while Bernthal sits inside. Spider-Man is supposed to yank the Punisher's weapon out of the vehicle, but Holland can't seem to get it loose. After several unsuccessful attempts, he tells Bernthal to “let go” of it.

Bernthal, clearly amused by the situation, fires back, “Motherf—–r I ain’t touching that I swear to god!” It's a great little moment between the two actors, and watching Holland struggle with the prop while Bernthal insists he isn't responsible makes the whole exchange even better. Their chemistry is a lot of fun, even when they're struggling to get through a scene.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day brought Holland back as Peter Parker alongside Bernthal's Frank Castle. While the two heroes don't exactly share the same crime-fighting philosophy, they find themselves dealing with a dangerous new threat in Jean Grey, played by Sadie Sink.

The X-Men character initially emerges as a mysterious mutant capable of entering people's minds and controlling their actions. Spider-Man and the Punisher attempt to stop her before innocent people get hurt, but as the story unfolds, they discover there's more to Jean Grey and her motivations than they originally believed.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has also been a monster hit at the box office. With a reported production budget of $225 million, the film has earned more than $2.5 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing movie of 2026 so far.

The Marvel blockbuster arrived on digital platforms on October 6, giving fans another chance to revisit the action, superhero team-ups, and everything else the movie throws at Peter Parker.

As for Holland and Bernthal, hopefully there's more footage like this floating around. Watching Spider-Man and the Punisher clash on screen is entertaining enough, but seeing the actors crack each other up while filming is pretty damn funny.
