Jordan Peele Casts Marlon Wayans in His Psychological Sports Thriller GOAT and Hires a Director
Jordan Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions has been developing a psychological sports thriller titled GOAT, and they’ve cast Marlon Wayans in the film and lined up a director to take on the project.
According to THR, Justin Tipping, director of the indie film Kicks, has been hired to take on the challenge of helming the movie.
GOAT, which as you probably know stands for Greatest of All Time, tells the story of a promising young football player who gets called up to train with the soon-to-retire star player. Given that the film is going to be a psychological thriller, it’s safe to say that the experience of these characters isn’t going to be a pleasant one.
Monkeypaw Productions acquired the project from Limetown creators Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie last year. They are also writing the script for the movie.
As for Peele, he’s currently developing his fourth movie, which he says could be his favorite film project yet.
