Jordan Peele Says His New Film Could Be His Favorite One Yet
Jordan Peele has directed three feature films so far with Get Out, Us, and Nope, and they’ve all earned critical acclaim and massive praise from audiences. In my opinion, Get Out is his best one so far, but the filmmaker has got a fourth film in development and he recently teased that it could end up being his personal favorite.
While a guest on the Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend podcast, Peele said: "This has been ... Obviously, it's been an interesting year because the writer's strike had had me in a state of listening, and that's where I need to be. I do feel like my next project is clear to me, and I'm psyched that I have another film that, you know, could be my favorite movie if I make it right."
As of right now, we don’t know anything about what Peele is planning next, but there’s no doubt that it will be something wickedly twisted. But, who knows! There is a chance he might mix things up a bit and not make a horror movie. We’ll just have to wait and see.
It was revealed recently that his new film was delayed by Universal Pictures from its initial December 25th release date. So, as of right now, we don’t know when the project will be released.
Peele has also been working on the recently announced video game collaboration he’s doing with Hideo Kojima for the new horror game “OD,” which Kojima describes as an “immersive and totally new style of game” that will explore “what it means to OD on fear.”
Peele is keeping himself busy, but he is looking to start shooting his next film this year. It’ll be interesting to see what it ends up being.
