Joseph Quinn Teases He's Setting Himself on Fire Every Day in Prep to Play Human Torch in Marvel's THE FANTASTIC FOUR
Actor Joseph Quinn was made famous by his unforgettable season of Stranger Things, and now he is on to a major MCU role in the upcoming Marvel movie, The Fantastic 4, in which he will play Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch. He will be joined by Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing, as well as Julia Garner, who will play the Shalla-Bal version of Silver Surfer.
Quinn was asked about joining the MCU during his recent panel at the Facts Comic-Con in Belgium, and he shared his excitement for the project and director Matt Shakman's vision for these classic Marvel characters.
“I’m really excited! I still can’t believe it, it’s crazy. We have a great group. When I spoke to Matt, the director, he had a brilliant vision for this, and the group we have, it was an easy decision. I definitely wanted to be a part of it.”
When how he was preparing for the part, Quinn joked, "I’ll be setting myself on fire for real… every day." The crowd enjoyed his humor, which you can check out in the video below.
The Fantastic 4 will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
