JUDGE DREDD: MEGA CITY ONE Concept Art Released and Producer Makes Statement About Karl Urban's Involvement
A couple of pieces of concept art has been released for the highly anticipated series Judge Dredd: Mega City One. As you'll see below, they give us a look at the setting and the mood of the series, and it looks really cool.
The concept art comes with a new statement from producer Jason Kingsley. He goes on to once again confirm that they are in discussions with Karl Urban and that they are making sure this series is going to be everything that they want it to be.
Urban recently confirmed himself that he is been in talks with the producers and that he would love to do it. Kingsley adds to that saying:
“We have been in discussions with Karl about his possible involvement in Judge Dredd: Mega-City One for some time. These conversations continue but we’re keen, he’s keen – it’s just a case of us making sure this show is everything we want it to be.
“This needs to be done right – the fans deserve it. Our team is working hard on scripts for the first season, creating engaging multi-thread storylines, one of which will be Dredd’s but others which take us into the wider world of Mega-City One.”t's great to hear that they creative team behind the series are looking to give fans the best possible Judge Dredd series. I really hope that they can pull this off and that they end up working out a deal with Urban to reprise his role. This series could really be amazing!
It's great to hear the creative team behind the development of the series is committed to giving us the best Judge Dredd show possible!
Judge Dredd: Mega City One will be an ensemble drama that follows a team of Judges – futuristic cops invested with the power to be judge, jury, and executioner – as they encounter the myriad challenges of a world in which east-coast cities have merged into a giant megalopolis. Despite its 22nd century setting, many of the issues they encounter will have echoes of those today – from the dangers of domestic terrorism to the tensions between the ultra-rich and the disenfranchised.
