Karl Urban Confirms He's in Talks For JUDGE DREDD: MEGA CITY ONE!
For those of you who are hoping to see Karl Urban in the upcoming Judge Dredd: Mega City One series, you'll be happy to hear that he's really in talks with the producers in making it happen. We've already heard one producer say they had conversations with Urban about it, but now the actor himself has confirmed that talks are taking place!
The actor made the big reveal at the Star Trek Las Vegas Convention, saying:
“I am in discussions with them about that. I told them that if they write the material and give Dredd something to do and give him a function, I will be there. I would love to.”
It sounds to me like Urban will actually do it if Dredd plays a role in the series! At this point it's all in the hands of the creative team! Like Urban said, they just need to "give Dredd something to do and give him a function" and he'll show up!
Well, now we'll just have to see how all this plays out. Both Urban and the producers obviously want to work together, so make it happen!
We've still got a long way to go before we see anything from the project. it was previously said that it would be about two years before the series is launched. That just gives them all the time they need to craft a great story and get Urban officially to sign on the dotted line!
