JUSTICE LEAGUE Adds GAME OF THRONES Actor Kristofer Hivju as a King of Atlantis
Kristofer Hivju's work as wildling warrior Tormund Giantsbane has been one of the most enjoyable elements of Game of Thrones for the past few years, so it's cool to see him branching out and getting some big opportunities because of his work on the show. He'll appear in the upcoming Fast 8, and now The Tracking Board reports that he'll also have a role in Zack Snyder's Justice League.
The outlet says that Hivju will play "an ancient Atlantean king who is in possession of one of the three alien Mother Boxes," one of which we saw the villainous Steppenwolf and Lex Luthor messing with in a deleted scene from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It sounds like this movie will contain different eras of Atlantean residents, with Hivju playing an "ancient" king and Willem Dafoe's Vulko being from a generation older than Jason Momoa's Aquaman. If he survives the events of Justice League, I wouldn't be surprised to see Hivju's mysterious character pop up again in James Wan's Aquaman solo movie.
Comic readers: which Atlantean king do you think Hivju will be playing here? Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
