Kate McKinnon and Jillian Bell Join ScarJo's R-Rated Comedy MOVE THAT BODY
Back in December, we wrote about how Scarlett Johansson will be starring in a female-centric R-rated comedy called Move That Body that's been described as The Hangover mixed with Weekend at Bernie's. Now she's gained some hilarious co-stars, as THR reports that Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, and Ilana Glazer have joined ScarJo and Zoe Kravitz in the new movie.
The script centers on five friends who get a beach house in Miami for a wild bachelorette weekend that goes completely off the rails when they accidentally kill a male stripper, and they have to deal with the fallout.
McKinnon is one of the most consistently funny performers on SNL and stands to break out on the big screen in the new Ghostbusters movie. Bell has been turning in strong supporting performances for a little while now, including solid work in The Night Before and 22 Jump Street. Glazer is one of the creators and stars of Comedy Central's Broad City, where she works with this film's co-writers, Paul W. Downs and Lucia Aniello. Downs is set to appear in the movie while Aniello will direct.
The outlet notes that the title has changed from Move That Body to Rock That Body, but even that is still tentative at this point. Regardless of what it's ultimately called, I'm excited to see this funny team of ladies unite for some R-rated comedy.
