Keanu Reeves Wants JOHN WICK To Continue After Chapter 3 and There's a New Featurette That Focuses on The Continental
We’ve already heard John Wick director Chad Stahelski say that he could make John Wick films for the rest of his life. Then co-star Ian McShane has said that he thinks the franchise could go another 10 years. Well, now Keanu Reeves is weighing in on continuing the action franchise and he would love to keep it going for as long as he can.
When asked by GQ how long he would stay attached to the franchise, he said:
"As far as my legs can take me. As far as the audience wants to go."
I love this franchise, so I certainly hope that we continue to see more badass adventures of John Wick for years to come!
I also included a new featurette for you to watch. This one puts the focus on the expanding mythology behind The Continental, which as you know, is a hotel for assassins. The video features interviews with the cast and crew along with some more footage for you to enjoy.
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.
Reeves is joined in the film by Halle Berry as Sofia, who will be helping John; Asia Kate Dillon, who will be playing The Adjudicator of the High Table; Mark Dacascos, who will take on the role of an assassin named Zero; Jason Mantzoukas, who will be playing the Tick Tock Man; and Anjelica Huston, who is playing a mysterious new character named Roma Ruska, someone who was responsible for [Wick’s] upbringing and his protection.
John Wick: Chapter 3 is currently set to hit theaters on May 17, 2019.
