Kevin Smith Says The Secret Massive Project He's Working on is a TV Series Not a Film

Back in July, Kevin Smith revealed that he was working on an epically huge project. He said at the time that it was the biggest thing that he’s ever worked on. If you don’t remember what he said, this will refresh your memory:

"I just finished a big script. It was a big gig I had and I haven’t talked about it yet, and I can’t talk about it yet. But hopefully, if they decide to go forward with it, then that’s all I’ll do is talk about it.

"But yeah, it was the biggest thing that I ever worked on. Somebody else’s IP, not mine. And then if it goes, it would be the fuckin’ biggest budget thing that I was ever involved with. So we’ll see what happens.

"Every once in a while, I remember what it’s like to be in high school. It’s kind of strange, where I’m like, ‘Oh, sh-t, somebody expects something.’ So it was a weird run up to it. But I was happy, I finished it and I was really delighted with it, it’s fun. But hopefully, if they give it a blessing, if it goes forward, we spend the better part of next year working on it."

We all just assumed that he was working on a film, but on a recent episode of the Fatman on Batman, he revealed that it’s a TV project not a film. A lot of fans were thinking it was either a DC or a Marvel project and that still might be the case. He doesn’t really offer us that much info, but he did tease that the series is set in a “weird, wonderful place.”

"I know I'm being vague, I wish I could fucking tell you and the moment I can tell you, man, I'm going to be like 'blaaaaa!' and you're going to be like 'what the fuck!' but it's not a movie. I've had a lot of people be like 'oh, it's a fucking Marvel movie!' Nobody would give me a movie. Nobody would give me a movie whatsoever. I'm struggling to make Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. This is a series thing, but it's a fucking dynamite series in a real weird, wonderful place. So, more as I know more."

That’s not much to go off of, but I’m sure that fans will think of a bunch of things to speculate about! It could be anything Marvel, DC, or even Star Wars. Or it could be something completely different! Whatever is is, I hope it goes through just so that we know exactly what he’s been working on!
