Kraven the Hunter Will Reportedly Appear in the Next SPIDER-MAN Movie
At the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Mysterio framed Spider-Man as a murderer and villain and his secret identity as Peter Parker was outed. This set up a very interesting dilemma for the Web-Slinger, and a lot of fans have been hoping that the third film would introduce Kraven the Hunter to hunt down Spider-Man.
Even director Jon Watts previously said, “Oh, I would love Kraven. It’s just the trick of how do you do Kraven in a movie?” He also admitted that he didn’t know what villain he would use next, saying, “I don’t know who’s next. I always like to think about it in terms of what’s going to be the most difficult thing for Peter. So that’s going to be the next trick.”
Well, it looks like he’s made the decision to use Kraven the Hunter in the upcoming Spider-Man film! The Illuminerdi recently shared details from a Sony casting grid that obviously suggests that the studio is already looking for an actor to play the villain.
The casting details describes the character as being of Russian origin, with "superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility and reflexes." It goes on to say that this "maniacal big-game hunter seeks to defeat Spider-Man to prove that he is the greatest hunter in the world." The studio is looking for an actor in the 35-50 age range to play the character, who is also described as a "Bourne-like bounty hunter.”
That certainly sounds like Kraven! It would make sense for Kraven to show up in New York City to hunt down Spider-Man and make his life a living hell. Marvel Studios or Sony have not confirmed this, but I hope it’s true! I would love to see Spider-Man and Kraven face off with each other!
What do you think? Who would you like to see cast in the role of Kraven?
