Latest Update on AHSOKA Season 2 - "Nothing Is Locked Yet"

With the end of the first season of Star Wars: Ahsoka, fans are left wondering when we will see Season 2 because there are plenty of story threads that were left open to explore. It was previously reported that Season 2 had already been green-lit and that work on the project had already started by the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes kicked off.

Well, now we’re hearing from Deadline… that might not actually be the case. The outlet reported that a second season of the Star Wars series was “in the conversation,” though nothing has been locked-in at this time. They said:

“However, we hear that Ahsoka Season 2 is more of a reality in the conversation, though nothing is locked yet. Tonight there were no placards teasing that Ahsoka would return in the immediate future. Natch, the ending WGA strike and the ongoing actors strike has put off production for some time.”

So, that’s discouraging to hear. Season 1 ended in a way that set up some great story arcs, and now it seems we’re going to have to wait quite awhile before we see some of these stories continue to play out. I’m pretty bummed out right now. All I can say is I hope Deadline’s reporting is wrong.

Ahsoka was written and executive produced by Dave Filoni and produced by Jon Favreau and Kathleen Kennedy. I’m sure they have planned out the continuing stories! They all know where this is headed!
