Laurence Fishburne Joins THE WITCHER Season 4 as a Fan-Favorite Character
Laurence Fishburne has been cast in Netflix’s The Witcher Season 4 and he will take on the role of the character Regis, a fan-favorite character from The Witcher books and games.
Regis was Introduced in the novel Baptism of Fire, and he’s known for his complex personality and unique qualities. He is a higher vampire, which sets him apart from most other beings in the world of The Witcher. Despite his vampiric nature, Regis is remarkably gentle and compassionate, often striving to live a peaceful existence and avoid harming humans. He was also the barber-surgeon of Dillingen and was very well educated and could be considered a polymath, knowing about many different subjects.
He is a close friend of Geralt of Rivia, and his sense of loyalty and camaraderie makes him a valuable ally in the Witcher's adventures. Regis's intelligence, wisdom, and moral code make him a standout character in the series.
Regis will join Geralt on his journey in Season 4. Geralt will be played by Liam Hemsworth, who takes over the role from Henry Cavill, who exited at the end of Season 3.
Fishburne said in a statement: “I’m very excited to be joining the cast and look forward to exploring the wondrous world of The Witcher.”
The new season follows “Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other. If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire — and finding one another again.”
