Liam Neeson Is Set to Star in Director Neil Jordan's Thriller THE RIKER'S GHOST
Liam Neeson will reteam with director Neil Jordan (The Crying Game) on a new thriller film project titled The Riker’s Ghost. This is another project perfectly fit for Neeson as he will take on the role of a convict set for release who is forced to break a terrorist out of prison. So, we can bet we’re going to see him once again kick some ass.
Jordan described the film in a statement saying: “This is a unique take on the prison escape. A bare-knuckle ride from incarceration to freedom, by someone who just wants to finish his term. The reluctant escapee will be played by Liam Neeson, and I can’t wait to explore this character with him.”
The project is set up at Parallel Film, and producer Alan Moloney had this to say: “I am thrilled to be joining forces again with Neil and Liam. We have put together an elite team to support Neil’s scripted and directorial vision. This one will have you on the edge of your seat.”
The film was written by Sean O’Keefe (Spenser Confidential) and Brian Rudnick (Dungeons & Dragons), and Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes director Rupert Wyatt is also serving as producer. The movie is scheduled to begin filming in September 2023.
Neeson and Jordan previously worked together on the upcoming film noir thriller Marlow.
