Looks Like Harley Quinn Will Be in James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD After All

Last week it was reported that James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad would be a complete overhaul of the franchise and would not tie into the first film. It was also said that Harley Quinn would not appear in the movie.

Well, Forbes has offered an update on their previous report and in the update that say that Harley Quinn is, in fact, expected to be in The Suicide Squad. She is part of the most recent draft of the script. They also report that the movie will start shooting sooner than expected:

"I have learned from sources close to production that in fact, the information about Harley Quinn being absent from the new Suicide Squad movie is no longer up to date -- she is indeed expected to appear in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, which is expected to begin production later this year."

What isn’t made clear is if this version of Harley Quinn will be played by Margot Robbie or if it will be a different actress in the role. That’s something we’ll just have to wait and see.

While I do like Robbie’s version of Harley Quinn, I wouldn’t mind seeing a new actress cast by Gunn to take on the role. But, it’ll probably just end up being Robbie.
