Lucasfilm's BOBA FETT Film Would Have Focused on All The Bounty Hunters introduced in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

Last week it was reported that the Boba Fett film being developed at Lucasfilm was 100% dead. The studio opted to focus on Jon Favreau’s live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian.

While I understand why they made this decision, it still would have been cool to see a Boba Fett movie, especially with the new information that has come to light regarding the characters that the film would have focused on.

EW, recently confirmed the cancellation of the film and in the process they revealed that the story would have focused on Fett and the rest of the bounty hunters who were introduced on the deck of a Star Destroyer in The Empire Strikes Back! Those characters include Bossk, 4-LOM, IG-88, and Dengar.

Those are all characters I would have enjoyed getting to know a little better! But, who knows, maybe some of those characters will show up in The Mandalorian, after all, the series will explore the bounty hunter underworld.

Director Josh Trank was originally supposed to direct the movie, but after Fantastic Four bombed he was fired. Then earlier this year Logan director James Mangold was brought on board and there’s no doubt in my mind that he would have given us a badass Boba Fett movie with these characters.

After learned this new information on the Boba Fett movie, would you have liked to see it get made?
