A few months ago Lucasfilm announced a new live-action Star Wars series that was in development titled Rangers of the Old Republic. Well, according to Variety, the spin-off "is not currently in active development". It seems the show has been put on the back-burning for now.

They don’t explain why, but when the project was announced it was speculated that the show would prominently feature Gina Carano's character Cara Dune. As you know, Carano’s working relationship recently came to an end after she posted some controversial posts on social media. Also at one point, Carano had her own spin-off series that was canceled.

Even though this project has been seemingly been shelved, for the time being, there are several other Star Wars projects in development that we can look forward to watching. Those include Andor, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Book of Boba Fett, and The Acolyte. However, I will say, I was looking forward to watching Rangers of the Old Republic.

Hopefully, Lucasfilm eventually puts it back into development.
