Luke Cage Carries the Weight of Harlem on His Shoulders in Clip From LUKE CAGE Season 2

"You ain't usin' your powers right."

Netflix has released a new clip from Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2. As he is taking a stroll through his neighborhood, he is bombarded by people asking him for help and to fix the things that are broken in the community. One of the main things that people are asking him to do is handle the new villain Bushmaster because they feel they can't protect their families. When he promises a little girl that he will do everything he can, she tells him that he's "no better than the damn cops."

Luke Cage is certainly feeling the weight of Harlem on his shoulders. He's doing the best he can, but apparently, he's not doing enough! From what we saw in the last trailer, Bushmaster is one powerful dude that is going to give Luke Cage a run for his money.

After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Rosario Dawson reprises her role as Claire Temple and the series also stars Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Shades, Finn Jones as Danny Rand, Mustafa Shakir (The Night Of) as John McIver, and Gabrielle Dennis (Insecure, Rosewood) as Tilda Johnson.

The 13-episode second season kicks off with an episode directed by Lucy Liu. The series premieres on Netflix on June 22nd.

Luke Cage, the Hero of Harlem, is harassed by angry neighbors who are starting to see the cracks in this unbreakable hero.
