M. Night Shyamalan's TRAP Footage Reaction Video - CinemaCon 2024
This is our reaction video to the footage that was shared at CinemaCon of M. Night Shyamalan and Josh Hartnett's new horror thriller Trap! The footage war screened during the Warner Bros. presentation.
Shyamalan described the movie as a “psychological thriller set at a concert.” Hartnett is playing a father who attends a concert with his daughter, and all hell breaks loose as law enforcement has purposely set up the concert to catch a serial killer who’s on the loose.
This looks like it’s going to be a solid flick from Shyamalan! I’m pretty excited about this one!
Hartnett previously explained that working on the film was a career highlight for him because of his experience making in and his admiration for Shyamalan.
He said: "It's a pivot, but I try to make all of my roles pivots. If you're playing the same thing again and again, it gets boring to the audience. Working with M. Night was one of the best experiences of my career.”
He added: “I think he's a true Artist in the capitol-A sense of the word. And I think people are gonna be really surprised and excited about the movie we make. It's very bizarre, very dark, and it's wild."
When talking about it in the past, Shyamalan said: “It’s very unusual and very new compared to what I’ve been trying to do [recently], but I’m feeling very excited about the story, so much so that I can’t wait to tell it to you guys.”
The movie is set to be released on August 2nd, 2024
