Marvel and Sony's SPIDER-MAN Sequel Gets a New Release Date
The release date for Marvel and Sony’s sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home has been moved back a month from November 5th, 2021 to December 17th, 2021.
With this being the final Spider-Man film under Marvel and Sony’s deal, fans are excited and curious to how Peter Parker’s story is going to play out now that he is a wanted man and also how whatever happens will lead him into Sony’s cinematic universe.
There are a lot of different directions that this story can go in, but in a previous interview with Tom Holland, he says that the script for the film is “absolutely insane.”
Jon Watts is returning to direct the sequel with a script being written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. We don’t know how the story is going to play out, but there have been reports that Kraven the Hunter will appear in the story and head to New York City to hunt down Spider-Man. That hasn’t been confirmed, but I hope it’s true!
In a previous interview with Kevin Feige, he had this to say about the film:
“It’ll be fun to see Spidey back in his element, out of the shadow of Tony, out of the shadow of the other Avengers, as his own man now, as his own hero. And yet now facing his own challenges that aren’t coming from Avengers fighting, like [Captain America: Civil War], or aliens coming, like [Avengers: Infinity War] or [Avengers: Endgame]. It’s all Peter focused and Peter based.”
What do you hope to see from the story of Spider-Man 3?
