Marvel is Being So Protective of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR That They Won't Even Show The Cast The Entire Film Yet

Marvel Studios has worked very hard to put safeguards into place so that the major events in Avengers: Infinity War won't be spoiled for anyone. They are being so protective that they haven't even shown the cast of the film the full movie yet!

Marvel recently shared some footage from the film at a fan event in London over the weekend and Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) were all there, where they saw this footage from the first time. The actors then appeared on Good Morning America to talk about the film and the experience of seeing that new footage. Cumberbatch said:

"It was pretty hyped. It was wonderful. It was the same for us. We haven’t seen hadn’t seen the footage until last night, so we came out as fanned up as the fans. It was really, really excited."

Hiddleston went on to confirm that even the actors of the film will have to wait until the premiere to see the entire finished product.

"None of us have seen the film and we’ll be seeing it at the same time as you guys see it on April the 27th because there’s so much about the film that’s being kept under wraps, being kept secret. Last night was about 20 minutes and the first time I’ve seen it."

Out of the three actors here, Cumberbatch is the only one who has actually read the entire script for the movie. He explains:

“I had to sort of understand what the context was. Strange as this wonderful role in it. I’m trying to hold the multiverse together, so I kind of needed to know what goes on between those brackets."

We know that Strange will have a key role to play in this story and when previously talking about that role, director Joe Russo said:

"Doctor Strange, like a lot of the other characters, will integrate his universe into this film. And he will have a very personal stake in it because he's a bearer of an Infinity Stone. So clearly, Thanos is coming for the stones, he's going to run into Doctor Strange."

It was also teased in a prequel comic that Doctor Strange would be taking the lead on helping protect the Infinity Stones because of the knowledge that he has. Knowledge that he will be tortured for.

I do love that Marvel wants to keep the viewing experience of Avengers: Infinity War as pure as possible.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 27th
