Marvel is Reportedly Ditching James Gunn's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Script
Not long after Dave Bautista said he doesn't want to be a part of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 if Marvel doesn't use the script that James Gunn wrote, a report has surfaced that Marvel has abandoned the script for the film and will start from scratch.
This was expected by some fans as it would be hypocritical for Disney to have James Gunn's name pop up during the credits of the film after being fired for a bunch of offensive Tweets that were reposted online to hurt his career, which worked.
This is just a rumor for now, but it's a rumor that isn't hard to believe at this point. The source of the information has posted some reliable intel in the past. You can read his tweet below.
Here's the thing... James Gunn is the heart and soul of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. There's no point in doing it without him. No one will be able to capture the spirit that James Gunn brought to the franchise. On top of that, the fans want to see Gunn's vision for the conclusion of the trilogy he started. Personally, I'm not really that all interested in seeing anyone else's vision for the Guardians.
How would you feel if Marvel and Disney actually do ditch Gunn's script for the film? Do you think they should?
Looks like Marvel Studios may have indeed tossed out James Gunn's script for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.3. Something I expected was the next step, if this is confirmed there will be a massive production delay ahead for the sequel. pic.twitter.com/qgkcsbdvmC
