Marvel Producer Nate Moore Talks About Denzel Washington Joining the MCU in BLACK PANTHER 3

A few months ago, Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington revealed that he had been hired by franchise writer and director Ryan Coogler to star in the upcoming Marvel sequel, Black Panther 3. Washington said at the time that Coogler created a role just for him in the film, and fans are wondering what that role could be.

Marvel producer Nate Moore had a chat with ScreenRant about a few of the projects coming up, and when asked about Washington joining the MCU, Moore said:

“If that manifests, which we're gonna try, I think it will probably be somebody from canon. Who that is, is early days. We honestly haven't had really substantive creative conversations with Ryan, mostly because he's finishing his film Sinners, which is gonna come out this year and is gonna be great.

“So again it's too early to say, but obviously if an actor of the caliber of Denzel Washington wants in, we're gonna figure out a way to make that happen.”

Of course Moore has to be careful about what he divulges, as everything about this project so far has not been officially confirmed by Marvel itself. We will have to wait and see what happens with Washington’s character, but if it ends up being someone already in the Marvel canon, who would you like to see him portray?
