Marvel Studios Reportedly Wants Rachel Zegler For MCU Role
Rachel Zegler, the actress who has starred in films such as West Side Story, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, and Disney’s live-action Snow White movie, may be up for a role in Marvel Studios’ MCU.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, "Marvel Studios wants Rachel Zegler for a role." The report comes as Zelger in the in the middle of some controversy regarding things she’s said about Snow White, Trump, and Republicans.
While she has apologized, people aren’t letting her forget the things that she’s said, and you can bet that Disney isn’t happy with some of her comments because it’s not really the best kind of press to have while trying to sell a massive budgeted film to audiences.
After all of the drama she’s caused, I’d be very surprised if Marvel really is looking to cast her in one of their movies. But, who knows, they are always looking to bring these kinds of young actors into the fold.
Zegler is no stranger to superhero movies as she played Anthea in 2023's Shazam! Fury of the Gods. There’s no word on who she might play, but with the X-Men universe opening up in the MCU, there are a few roles in there that she might fit into.
We’ll just have to wait and see if there’s any truth to this rumor. Regardless of the things Zegalr has said, she is a talented actress.
