Marvel's BLACK WIDOW is Reportedly Coming in 2020 and Scarlett Johansson is Going to Make a Ton of Money

We already know that Marvel is currently developing a script for a solo Black Widow film. This is a film that fans have been wanting to see for a long time and now it's finally happening. According to an inside source from The Daily Mail, we now know when Marvel is looking to release the film, and they are hoping to get it in theaters sometime in 2020. Yeah, we've still got a long way to go, but at least it's happening!

The report also mentions that Johansson has signed on for a $25 million deal for the film. If that's true, that would make her the highest paid actress in Hollywood. The source also says that Jude Law and Ben Mendelsohn are potential co-stars in the film. That casting doesn't make much sense though, because Law and Mendelshon are starring in Captain Marvel. I wonder if they just got that information mixed up with Captain Marvel

None of this has been confirmed by the studio, but it's not really outside the realm of possibility. Until the studio says anything though, let's treat this as a rumor.

Jac Schaeffer is currently writing the screenplay and she's been working closely with Johansson on it. I can't wait to see how this movie turns out if it actually ends up getting made. Johansson previously teased some of the directions that the film could go, which you can read about here.
