Marvel's HAWKEYE Series Will Start Shooting in New York This Week

It looks like Marvel Studios is ready to start production on its Hawkeye Disney+ series. While we still don’t have official confirmation on who is playing Kate Bishop in the series, Marvel will start shooting in New York City this week.

In the photo below, you will see a “No Parking” notice that was shared by Verge’s Chris Welch. It features the working title for the Hawkeye series, “Anchor Point,” and says that production is scheduled to take place at downtown Brooklyn on Wednesday, December 2nd.

Troop Zero directors, Bert and Bertie, a.k.a. Amber Finlayson (Bert) and Katie Ellwood (Bertie), and Saturday Night Live and Comrade Detective director Rhys Thomas have been hired to helm some episodes of its upcoming Disney+ Hawkeye series.

Jeremy Renner is set to reprise his role as Clint Barton a.k.a. Hawkeye who will train Kate Bishop to become a warrior. In the comics, Kate has a high level of skill in archery, sword fighting, and unarmed combat. Kate also possesses a significant stock of fighting weapons. Bumblebee star Hailee Steinfeld is rumored to be playing Kate, but that has not been confirmed by the studio.

We don’t have any concrete details on the story for the series, but it’s said to draw from Matt Fraction and David Aja's acclaimed Hawkeye comic run. It’s also rumored that Hawkeye’s hearing loss will factor in the story. Like many of you, I’m super curious to see what this Hawkeye series will entail.
