Marvel's WANDAVISION Disney+ Series Was Conceived By Kevin Feige

There are a lot of creative minds at work over at Marvel Studios. There would have to be with all of the projects that they are developing! There’s a ton of them coming in the form of both films and Disney+ TV shows! It’s exciting!

While a lot of fans are excited about the shows that are coming, the one that seems to be getting the least amount of love is WandaVision. It just seems like such a weird, different, and unique project, and fans aren’t quite sure what to think of it.

When previously describing the project, Elizabeth Olsen said, “It is a mash-up between American sitcoms throughout the decades and Marvel films with these characters.” Paul Bettany added, “That’s where it starts, and then it sort of snowballs into an epic Marvel movie that you’ve grown to know or love.” They’ve also said that it’s going to be a completely bonkers and wild ride.

Well, it turns out that the idea for this series was conceived by Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige, so if you’re a fan of what he’s done with the MCU so far, then I’m sure you’re going to love this series. I’m personally super intrigued by the concept as it will tie in directly to Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

Olsen recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about the project and thats where she revealed that it was Feige’s idea. First, she talked about what it was like for her when she found out about the series:

"I actually have no idea what I'm allowed to say. When I found out about it, Feige had Paul and I come in at different times to his office and it really felt like being called into the principal's office."

Olsen went on to say that Bettany thought when he went in to meet with Feige that he was going to be fired, but that obviously wasn’t the case:

"He was worried he was getting fired but I think that Paul is really great at telling stories, so I don't know how accurate that is or if it's just a better story saying that. But for me, I just thought I got in trouble saying something about Infinity War or something at the time. And it's kind of Feige's creation, this show. It's an idea that he conceived."

She goes on to say that it’s pretty great and that she knows a lot about it, but she isn’t revealing any of the nitty-gritty details.

WandaVision debuts on Disney+ in Spring 2021. Does knowing that Feige created this series get you a little more excited about watching it?

Elizabeth explains why she avoided Jimmy in Seattle while he was having lunch, and she talks about her new Disney+ show 'WandaVision' and her show 'Sorry for Your Loss' on Facebook Watch.
