Matthew McConaughey Played One of the Deadpool Variants in DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE
Here’s an interesting and fun little detail regarding a big cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine that you most likely didn’t notice.
It was confirmed by MotionPictures.org that Matthew McConaughey provides the voice of Cowboy Deadpool, or the Deadpool Kid, the western gun-slinger variant from Earth-1108.
There was so much going on in that scene where all of the Deadpool variants are introduced that it would have been hard for anyone to recognize McConaughey’s voice.
I love that he is The Deadpool Kid, though, and it would be such a blast to actually see a Cowboy Deadpool movie made with McConaughey in the role!
Yeah, I know it’ll never happen, but I can see the potential in a movie like that.
This incarnation of Deadpool retains the hallmark irreverence and humor of the original but is uniquely adapted to the Old West setting.
The Deadpool Kid, was wanted for "bank robbery, arson, software piracy and stampeding pygmy goats through an orphanage."
Sporting cowboy attire and armed with a blend of traditional Western weaponry and his iconic katanas, the Deadpool Kid traverses the lawless frontier, engaging in outlandish adventures and bloody showdowns.
His storylines often blend classic Western tropes with the over-the-top, fourth-wall-breaking antics characteristic of Deadpool, creating a unique fusion of genres.
