Matthew Vaughn Says His KICK-ASS Reboot and KINGSMAN 3 Are Ready To Go

Matthew Vaughn is a filmmaker who’s been keeping himself very busy and there are a lot of other projects that he’s been developing that are ready to go including the Kick-Ass reboot and Kingsman 3. There’s also a musical that he’s been developing.

During an interview with Games Radar, the director was asked about his Kick-Ass reboot and if that is the next movie on his list. He said:

"[That’s] being worked on as we speak. I'm in a weird business, logistical moment in my life where I’ve got to figure out who my partners are going to be because we've got quite a few, as you know, we have a lot of things ready."

He went on to talk about all of the projects that he’s got cooking right now saying:

"So we have to make Kingsman 3 before Taryn [Egerton] and Colin [Firth] are just too old. There is the reboot of Kick-Ass, which the idea is so of its time that we have to get on with it as well. We would like to make the next Argylle and then I have a musical which I'm prepping at the moment as well. So we're going to be busy but we've been polishing our weapons we're now ready to start firing but I just need to know what aircraft carrier I'm firing them from, which I don't have. I need an aircraft carrier."

Vaughn will eventually get around to making all of these things and while they’re all ready to go, he can only do one film at a time, so it will be interesting to see what the next project will be.

The director recently explained that his new Kick-Ass movie will actually be the third film in a new trilogy of movies, which is an interesting approach for a reboot. The trilogy starts with an action movie titled School Fight which will be produced by Vaughn and directed by stunt coordinator-turned-director Damien Walters. Vaughn talked about the movie saying:

“The trilogy will be School Fight, this movie, let's call it Vram for the time being, and then Kick-Ass, and they're all connected.”

School Fight has already been shot and is completed, and the second film Vram is currently in production. As for Kingsman 3, we don’t really have any details on what the story will entail, but it’s a fun action franchise that is sure to deliver some crazy entertainment like the first few films in the franchise..
