Michael Peña Joins Billy Bob Thornton in Taylor Sheridan's Oil Industry Drama Series LANDMAN

Michael Peña has joined Billy Bob Thornton in Taylor Sheridan‘s upcoming oil industry Paramount+ series Landman.

The cast for the project also includes Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie, Paulina Chávez, and Demi Moore.

Jon Hamm will also appear in a recurring guest star role, while Andy Garcia will guest star.

The series is based on the “Boomtown” podcast and is set in the world of West Texas oil rigs, focusing on both those working in the oil fields and the billionaires reaping the rewards.

The story is set in the “proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, Landman is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs… It’s an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”

I recently finished listening to the podcast and the subject matter is going to make for a great and fascinating series.

The series is currently in production in and around Fort Worth, Texas.
