Milly Alcock's SUPERGIRL Performance Continues to Receive Praise With New Comparisons to the MCU's Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans

Last week, first reviews from Supergirl audience test screenings rolled out, revealing the film’s first runtime, and notes of an underwhelming bad guy, as well as major praise for the film’s star, played by Milly Alcock.

Now another viewer has revealed their thoughts on her performance, drawing a pretty powerful comparison between the actress and a couple of superhero movie heavy hitters.

@ViewerAnon shared their thoughts on X, stating, "I've been careful not to talk about SUPERGIRL as I don’t want to spoil anything, but I did want to say there is one consistent thing I’ve heard over and over again: Milly Alcock is FANTASTIC, like Robert Downey Jr/Chris Evans You-Can-Build-a-Whole-Universe-Around-Her great."

This is some high praise, as RDJ and Evans were the backbone upon which the MCU was built, and DC seems to finally have a solid shot at building a universe for their beloved superheroes that compares to what Marvel has done.

David Coreswet received this level of praise for his take on the Man of Steel in James Gunn’s Superman, so this bodes well for DC’s plans of building the DCU around the Superman Family. 

These reviews are getting me pretty excited for this movie and the future of the DCU! Supergirl arrives in theaters on June 26, 2026.
