MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS Season 2 Teaser Promises More Titans, Secrets, and Chaos

Apple TV has released the first teaser for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2, and it’s setting the stage for another epic Monsterverse showdown filled with mystery, destruction, and kaiju action.

Fans of the series can expect the world of Godzilla, Kong, and the other colossal Titans to expand in fun new ways when the series returns on February 27, 2026.

The series, which spun out from Legendary’s Monsterverse films, follows the covert organization known as Monarch, the group responsible for studying, tracking, and often trying to contain these massive creatures.

The first season, released in 2023, surprised a lot of fans with how grounded and character-driven it was while still delivering on monster mayhem. Now, Season 2 is set to raise the stakes.

According to Apple TV, the new season “picks up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals many buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong's Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea.

“The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a Titan event on the horizon.”

That means more global chaos, more massive creatures emerging from the deep, and even more questions about Monarch’s shadowy history.

Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell are both back, reprising their roles as the same character in different timelines, which is a cool storytelling choice. They’re joined once again by Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, and Joe Tippett, who all helped make the first season such a standout in the Monsterverse.

The show was co-created by Chris Black (Star Trek: Enterprise, Ugly Betty, Outcast) and Matt Fraction, the acclaimed comic book writer behind Hawkeye.

Black is returning as showrunner for the new season, which will feature writing from Andrew Colville, Joe Pokaski, Kari Drake, Dan Dworkin, Ralph Eggleston, Tanner Hansinger, and Maria Melnik. Episodes are directed by Mairzee Almas and Lawrence Trilling.

Season 2 will consist of ten episodes, streaming weekly on Apple TV through May 2026. From the looks of the teaser, fans can expect a mix of globe-trotting adventure with some awesome Titan action.
