Most of POWER RANGERS Is Set to Leave Netflix at the End of the Month
It’s been a sad few days in the Power Rangers fandom. Fans recently noticed that when you go to watch most seasons of Power Rangers on Netflix, there’s now a notice that the season will only be available through January and will no longer be available starting in February. We know that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel, and Power Rangers Beast Morphers are all safe. All the other seasons are set to be removed though.
Personally, I am hoping that Hasbro and Netflix are just renegotiating the licensing deals for the many seasons leaving and they won’t actually disappear in February. Hasbro and Netflix appear to have at least a somewhat decent relationship with the Transformers: War for Cybertron series being a thing. My Little Pony is also still available on the streaming service for the foreseeable future. Combine that with the fact that BOOM! Studios has a first look deal with Netflix, and BOOM! Studios has created some amazing Power Rangers content that could easily be used to create new content on Netflix.
I’ve been using Netflix to watch all of the Power Rangers seasons, and I’m currently watching Operation Overdrive. I really want Power Rangers to stay or find a new home quickly so that I can continue revisiting them and get caught up. What do you think is going to happen to Power Rangers?
