Netflix Looking to Cast Daniel Craig in THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA Movie

Netflix and director Greta Gerwig are swinging for the fences with their Chronicles of Narnia adaptation as it’s being reported that they offered Daniel Craig a role in the film. But, it’s still early, and there’s no guarantee Craig will sign on.

That’s the big question is who he might play in the movie. No details have surfaced on the role he’s being eyed for. But maybe they want him to provide the voice of Aslan. There are plenty of other characters he could play as well, though.

Production is gearing up to start later this year, and they’re assembling the cast. Just recently, reports surfaced that pop star Charli XCX was in talks to take on the role of the White Witch.

Netflix first announced its plans to develop films and series based on The Chronicles of Narnia back in 2018, but things really gained traction when Gerwig came aboard in 2020 to direct.

The first film is still in its early stages, but Netflix is clearly betting big on it and they’ve already locked in a two-week exclusive IMAX run for Thanksgiving 2026 before the film hits the streaming platform.

If Craig does join, it won’t be his first collaboration with Netflix. He’s already the face of the streamer’s Knives Out franchise as detective Benoit Blanc, a role that has proven wildly popular.

After Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery in 2022, the next installment, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, is set to drop later this year.
