Netflix Renews NOBODY WANTS THIS for Season 4, and We're Here for More!
Netflix is keeping the romance and comedy going! Nobody Wants This has officially been renewed for Season 4, just over two weeks after its third season premiered on October 22. Fans of the hit series starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody have another season of Joanne and Noah's complicated, hilarious relationship to look forward to.
This is one of those shows that my wife and I love watching together. We get such a kick out of the characters, their relationships, and the ridiculous situations they find themselves in. It's funny, charming, and has a great cast that makes even the most awkward conversations entertaining. We've had a blast with it, so I'm happy Netflix is bringing it back!
Series co-showrunners Erin Foster, Jenni Konner, and Bruce Eric Kaplan shared their excitement about the renewal, saying: “We are so happy and thrilled to do another season of our favorite show on television, which coincidentally is the one we run.”
The third season follows Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody) as they take another big step in their relationship, moving into a home together and figuring out what building a life as a couple actually looks like.
Meanwhile, Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Esther (Jackie Tohn) find themselves navigating the dating world again, while Morgan (Justine Lupe) makes some big moves in her career. Of course, there's also that complicated connection between Sasha and Morgan that neither seems ready to acknowledge.
The official Season 3 synopsis reads: “That ‘first time’ feeling, all over again. After recommitting to each other at the end of last season, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody) are moving into a home — and a relationship — that finally feels solid, embracing every exciting ‘first’ that comes with building their life together.
“Sasha (Simons) and Esther (Tohn) are thrust back into the dating world, whether they like it or not, stumbling through all the awkwardness (and unexpected thrill) of getting to know someone new, right as Morgan (Lupe) takes her career to the next level, on her way to becoming an (almost) media sensation. Meanwhile, Sasha and Morgan have been circling something neither of them has been able to admit to.”
One of the things I appreciate about this series is how much fun it has with its supporting characters. Sure, Joanne and Noah are the heart of the story, but the rest of the cast brings so much personality to the show. Everyone has their own issues, and watching them try to figure out their lives is a big part of what makes the series so enjoyable.
Netflix is clearly happy with how the series has performed. Since its debut in 2024, Nobody Wants This has become one of the streamer's successful romantic comedies. Its first season spent eight weeks on Netflix's global Top 10 English-language TV chart, while Season 2, which arrived in 2025, remained on the chart for four weeks.
Tracey Pakosta, Netflix's vice president of comedy series in the U.S., celebrated the Season 4 renewal: “Great love stories never go out of style, and ‘Nobody Wants This’ has become a true cultural phenomenon. This incredible creative team has built a show that grows with its audience, and our members around the world have embraced it season after season. We cannot be more excited for Season 4.”
Netflix hasn't announced a premiere date for Season 4 yet, but it's great knowing these characters will be back for more.
I'm especially looking forward to seeing where the writers take everyone next. My wife and I have really enjoyed spending time with this group of characters, and the humor and chemistry between the cast members keep us coming back. It's just a fun show to watch together.
