New AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY TV Spot Reveals Fresh Footage, the Return of the Bifrost, and More Avengers Banter

Marvel has released another TV spot for Avengers: Doomsday, and this one actually gives fans something new to get excited about! The latest footage features more interactions between Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and several other familiar MCU heroes. It also brings back a classic piece of Asgardian magic.

The biggest reveal is the appearance of the Bifrost, the rainbow-colored energy that allows Thor to travel across the universe. It's been part of the MCU since 2011's Thor, originally connecting Asgard to the Nine Realms through the Rainbow Bridge.

While Asgard and the bridge were destroyed in Thor: Ragnarok, Thor eventually gained the ability to summon the Bifrost using Stormbreaker. Fans will remember his awesome arrival in Wakanda during Avengers: Infinity War.

Now Thor is using that same power to transport his fellow Avengers. Of course, there's already some debate about what we're actually seeing. Insider James Mack has claimed on X that the Bifrost effect was created specifically for the TV spot and that the heroes will actually travel using a TVA portal.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see how the Avengers get around as they face a threat that could involve multiple universes.

The teaser also delivers some fun character moments, including a funny exchange involving Ant-Man and the question of which Captain America he's talking to.

Wyatt Russell gets some additional screen time as John Walker, the former Captain America who now goes by U.S. Agent. Having Walker share the screen with Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson should make for some entertaining interactions, considering all three characters have held the Captain America mantle.

The TV spot also features Steve Rogers still wielding Mjolnir in a new scene, something Thor apparently isn't too thrilled about. It's good to see that their familiar rivalry is still alive.

As for the film's main villain, Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom remains largely absent from these new trailers. What these teasers do show is that Avengers: Doomsday will continue to embrace the humor and character relationships that fans have enjoyed throughout the MCU.

Directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026.
