New BIRDS OF PREY Photo of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn; Is This "Male Gaze-y"?
A new photo from director Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) has surfaced of Margot Robbie sporting a new outfit as Harley Quinn.
When previously talking about the film it was explained by Robbie that the costumes would be “definitely less male gaze–y.” I’m just curious… would this image be considered being “Male gaze-y” or not? I love Robbie’s look at Harley in the photo! Some people might even consider it sexy. Anyway, I’m not complaining! I’m actually pretty stoked about this movie. I think her outfit in Suicide Squad was less “male gaze-y” than this.
What do you think about the new image? I wish DC was bringing the film to Comic-Con next month!

The movie is said to be an R-rated "girl-gang movie," and in the film Harley Quinn, Huntress, and Black Canary will team up to protect Cain when she comes across a diamond belonging to McGregor’s Black Mask, a kingpin in Gotham City’s criminal underworld.
Birds of Prey is set to be released on February 7th, 2020. Below you’ll find a previously released teaser poster.
