New DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Featurette Teases a "More Sinister" Season 2

Marvel Studios just dropped a new featurette for Daredevil: Born Again, and it gives fans a another taste of what’s coming in Season 2. With fresh footage, cast interviews, and some revealing teases, it’s clear the next chapter is going to push Matt Murdock into some seriously dangerous territory.

The new video includes appearances from Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and more, all hinting at how intense things are about to get.

Krysten Ritter also teases her return as Jessica Jones. This will be the first time she’s stepped back into the role since her Netflix series ended in 2019, and it’s awesome to see her back in action and kicking ass.

Season 2 picks up six months after the events of Season 1, and according to showrunner Dario Scardapane, things aren’t looking great for the heroes. Fisk isn’t just a threat anymore, he’s in control.

"Without giving away too much, I think that all the seeds of what you can expect New York to look like in Season 2 are sown at the end of Season 1. To put it as simply as possible: Fisk has won. He’s taken over the city. He’s consolidated power, and Matt and others aren’t exactly sure what course of action they can take."

That shift in power flips the dynamic completely. Daredevil isn’t operating in the shadows by choice anymore, he’s being hunted.

"What you see in Season 2 is how that plays out. Matt and Karen are pretty much public enemies number 1 and number 2. By the rules of Fisk’s New York, Matt is a criminal. And, he’s a fugitive who’s being hunted, if you remember what happened in his apartment at the end of the last season."

Scardapane also pulled inspiration from classic resistance stories, which gives a good sense of the tone they’re aiming for this time around.

"I really was inspired by a lot of old movies like 'Army of Shadows' for Season 2. These French Resistance stories where there’s this romantic hiding-out from the powers that be. So, this season is about what Matt, Karen and others do to fight the power."

That idea of resistance is baked into the core of the story. Fisk, now Mayor, has tightened his grip on New York City and is actively hunting Daredevil. Meanwhile, Matt Murdock is forced to operate from the shadows, trying to dismantle Fisk’s empire while holding onto what’s left of his city.

The returning cast includes Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, and Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn. Alongside Ritter’s return, Matthew Lillard joins the series as the mysterious Mr. Charles.

And while fans are gearing up for Season 2, there’s already movement on what’s next. Cox confirmed that filming for Season 3 is underway, and early set photos show the production fully back in New York.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is an awesome new chapter of the story that fans are going to love. The series returns to Disney+ on March 24.
