New JACKASS Movie Announced by Johnny Knoxville With Summer Release Date
The Jackass crew is officially gearing up for another round of broken bones, terrible ideas, and wildly entertaining chaos. Johnny Knoxville took to Instagram to announce that a brand-new Jackass movie is on the way and it already has a summer release date locked in.
Paramount continues to build out its theatrical slate, and this one is guaranteed to make a lot of longtime fans very happy.
According to Knoxville, the new Jackass movie will hit theaters on June 26. No title, cast list, or stupid stunt details were shared, but that almost feels beside the point. When Jackass returns, audiences know exactly what they’re signing up for. Painful stunts, reckless creativity, and a group of friends pushing themselves way too far for laughs.
Knoxville broke the news himself with an enthusiastic post, writing: “Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you to know that this summer Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th.🎉❤️🎉 More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!!”
The Jackass brand has come a long way since it first debuted as an MTV series back in October 2000. What started as a low-budget reality show built around dangerous pranks quickly became a pop culture phenomenon.
The franchise jumped to the big screen in 2002 and hasn’t slowed down since, spawning four main theatrical releases along with several Jackass Presents… spin-offs. Knoxville also carried that chaotic spirit into the 2013 comedy Bad Grandpa, which proved the concept could stretch beyond the core crew format.
The most recent entry, Jackass Forever, was released in 2022 and showed there was still plenty of audience appetite for the mayhem. The film opened with $23.1 million domestically and finished its run with $57.7 million in North America and over $80 million worldwide.
Across all four main Jackass movies, the franchise has pulled in more than $416 million globally, making it one of the most successful comedy properties of its kind.
This announcement also fits neatly into Paramount’s larger theatrical plans. The studio previously committed to expanding its annual output, with a goal of releasing up to 15 films in 2026. With this new Jackass installment added to the calendar, Paramount’s title count for that year continues to grow.
According to ComScore tracking, the studio is already up to ten releases for 2026, with more announcements expected in the months ahead.
Jackass is back, it’s coming to theaters, and Johnny Knoxville sounds just as excited as ever. June 26 can’t come fast enough! I love this stupid franchise!
