New Marvel Rumor Suggests We Will See the New T'Challa/Black Panther Sooner Than We Expected

This last week has been pretty full of Black Panther news. First we heard that Marvel was looking to recast the role of King T’Challa in the MCU, which fans assumed would happen ahead of Black Panther 3.

Then we got a list of three actors that are rumored to be up for the role, or at least have been talked about at some point by the Marvel execs. Those actors include John David Washington, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Aaron Pierre.

This latest rumor claims that we will see this recast play out a bit sooner than expected. According to inside scooper @MyTimeToShineH (via Comic Book), "[The] new T'Challa will first [appear] in the Avengers movies then Black Panther 3."

So, as expected, there's will likely be a Multiversal element at play. Whether it's the future Toussaint or a Black Panther from an alternate reality, the Avengers: Secret Wars rumored reset looks set to establish the hero in time for Black Panther 3.

It's also fitting and kind of cool that the Russo Brothers be the ones to reintroduce T'Challa in Avengers: Doomsday, as it was in 2016's Captain America: Civil War that the great Chadwick Boseman originally made his unforgettable debut as the hero.

I am looking forward to the next few MCU phases to see how they all play out. Who would you like to see in the role of Black Panther?
