New Photo of THE DEFENDERS and Mike Colter Jokingly Compares it to THE HANGOVER
A new photo has been released for Marvel's The Defenders. In it, the team is gathered together on an elevator and it looks like they are ready to kick some ass. We got a little taste of what it will be like watching Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) fighting alongside each other in the trailer that was released. I'm excited to see more!
While talking to Empire, Cox said he was concerned about bringing these characters together, and explains how they managed to make it work:
“I was concerned about how you could combine these worlds. Tonally they feel so different. But it feels like all the characters have been respected, and the show has a tone of its own. [They’ve] kept it grounded, but at the same time it lives in a slightly mythical world.”
Colter goes on to talk about the team's reluctance to come together and then jokingly compares it to The Hangover:
“We’re very reluctant at first. Nobody really wants to work with anyone. By the end of the show, I think it might be more like The Hangover. 'I don’t ever want to see you again!’”
The Defenders is set to premiere on Netflix on August 18th. Here's the synopsis:

A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City.
