New Poster for THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER and Chris Hemsworth Says It's "Big, Loud, and Crazy"
The first teaser trailer for Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder dropped today, and fans have been flipping out over its awesomeness! This movie looks freakin’ radical and it’s great to see that Marvel has allowed director Taika Waititi to unleash his wonderfully crazy imagination!
Judging from what I’ve seen, it looks like Waititi leaned even more into the wildness that we got a taste of in Thor: Ragnarok. While I enjoyed the first two Thor films, I do love that this franchise has transformed into a riotous fantasy action-comedy!
We’ve now got a new poster to share with you, a new synopsis, and Chris Hemsworth even teased the film saying the movie has “all the feels of a classic Thor adventure. Big, loud and Crazy and full of heart. You’ll laugh you’ll cry, then you’ll laugh so much you’ll cry some more!!”
The film finds Thor (Hemsworth) “on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”
Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theaters July 8th, 2022.
