New Poster For UNCHARTED Featuring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg

Sony Pictures has shared a new poster for the upcoming adventure film Uncharted. It features Tom Holland in the role of Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor Sully. No matter what they do to try and make Holland look like a badass Nathan Drake, it just doesn’t work for me. This casting is all wrong. Even Wahlberg’s casting as Sully is wrong!

It looks like it’ll be a fun film, but it’s not really an Uncharted movie. Holland previously talked about how he tried to bulk up for the role so that he didn’t look like a child next to Wahlberg. But that didn’t really help. They definitely wanted to make him look bigger in this poster!

The movie comes from director Ruben Fleischer (Venom), and the film will tell the story of a young Nathan Drake before he becomes the adventurous treasure hunter from the game. Nathan Drake is known for his adventures across the world as he uncovers various historical mysteries. Sully is his mentor.

The synopsis reads:

Based on one of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed video game series of all time, Uncharted introduces audiences to the young street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). In an action-adventure epic that spans the globe, the two go in dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother.

Art Marcum and Matt Holloway wrote the most recent draft of the script. The film also stars Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali, and The 100 actor Tati Gabrielle. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

The Uncharted movie hits theaters on February 18th, 2022.
