New Poster Shared for Marvel's THE NEW MUTANTS Embraces the Horror Vibe

We’ve got a new poster to share with you for director Josh Boone’s upcoming Marvel movie The New Mutants. I’ve been curious to see how hard Disney and Marvel planned on pushing the marketing for this film. So far, it’s been light, but maybe that’ll change the closer it gets to the April release date.

I’m actually pretty excited about this film, and I hope that it ends up being as good as I’ve heard it is. If it is good, I’d love to see it be a solid box office hit. If you haven’t seen the latest trailer for the film yet, you can check that out here.

The poster below features Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Charlie Heaton as Cannonball, Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Henry Zaga as Sunspot, and Blu Hunt as fallen Mirage. It certainly embraces the horror vibe of the movie.

Here’s the synopsis:

20th Century Fox in association with Marvel Entertainment presents “The New Mutants,” an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.

It’s explained in the trailer that this place the mutants are in is not a hospital. It takes their greatest fear and makes them live through it until it kills them. The version of the film we will be seeing has been confirmed to be the original cut that the director intended to release.

New Mutants is still scheduled to be released in theaters on April 3rd, 2020.
