New Photo of Brendan Fraser Points Out the Star's Physique Ahead of His Return to THE MUMMY 4

The Mummy 4 is currently in pre-production, and returning star Brendan Fraser is getting back into shape to play Rick O’Connell in the action adventure sequel.

It’s been almost 20 years since the release of the third film, and Fraser is in his late fifties now, not only older, but also dealing with the repercussions of the first Mummy movie stunts that took a huge toll on his body.

Nevertheless, he is moving forward and is showing off his new physique on the red carpet. At the premiere of the war drama film Pressure, in which Fraser portrays General Dwight Eisenhower, a photo was captured of the star.

The outlet Covered Geekly shared a side-by-side of Fraser from that night and one from 2021, and he has made noticeable strides getting back in shape.

Rachel Weisz is also returning to the sequel to play Evelyn Carnahan. It was recently announced that Oded Fehr and Kevin J. O'Connor are officially returning as Ardeth Bay and Beni Gabor.

John Hannah is also returning as Jonathan Carnahan, Evy's endlessly lovable brother. The cast also includes Michael Johnston (Obsession), who many fans believe could be playing Rick and Evy's now-grown son, although that hasn't been confirmed. Numan Acar (Young Sherlock) has also signed on in an undisclosed role.

Check out the photo of Fraser below, and stay tuned for updates on the project as it heads into production. The Mummy 4 is set to be released on October 15, 2027.
