New Rumor Claims Disney Is Looking at Demi Moore to Play Mother Gothel in Live-Action TANGLED Remake
Last month, it was confirmed that Disney is moving forward with the live-action remake of their animated hit film Tangled, based on the classic fairy tale Rapunzel. The 2010 animated musical was an instant classic, and fans are looking forward to seeing who the studio casts in the lead roles.
Marvel actress Florence Pugh has become the front runner for the lead role of Rapunzel, and another highly speculated part is that of the villainous Mother Gothel.
Fans have said they’d love to see another Marvel alum, Agatha All Along star Kathryn Hahn in the role. Others have thrown Jennifer Lopez’s name in the ring. But today we have a new rumor with another great name to add to the roster.
Toonado reports that inside scooper @MyTimeToShineH claims actress Demi Moore (Ghost, A Few Good Men, The Substance) “is being considered" for the movie. Moore has always been a great and reputable actress, and after her recent Golden Globe win and Academy Award nomination, she is back in the spotlight.
