New Rumor Claims One SPIDER-MAN Will Be Absent From AVENGERS: SECRET WARS

A new rumor has surfaced over a year and a half ahead of the release of Avengers: Secret Wars. The film, which will be the follow-up to this year’s Avengers: Doomsday, has not had a lot revealed about it, as Doomsday will hopefully have plenty of its own twists and turns and surprises in store. So what can be said about the second film of the returning Russo Brothers?

A new rumor claims that, despite rumors that Miles Morales could be introduced to take over as Spider-Man in the upcoming film, we won’t be seeing him after all.

Scooper Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus suggested that a live-action version of Miles Morales might not appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, after all. During a Q&A session, Perez was asked by a fan if there are any updates on whether a live-action version of the character will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars or any other project soon. In response, Perez simply said, “Nothing yet, I’m afraid.”

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige previously gave an update regarding the potential appearance of Miles Morales in the MCU, saying he has been lobbying to bring the character to the live-action big screen, but has been repeatedly told no by Sony.

So this isn’t a huge shock, but it is a bummer for fans who are anxious to see this Spider-Man make his MCU debut. We will just have to wait and see when a deal can be made.
