New Rumor Claims to Reveal Scarlett Johansson's Secret Role In THE BATMAN: PART II
Since it was announced that Scarlett Johansson was joining the cast of The Batman: Part II, fans have been speculating about which role she would be taking on.
An early report claimed that she would be playing Gilda Dent in the film, but a new rumor claims to reveal that she could actually be taking on a classic supervillain/anti-hero.
In a reddit post from DCU Leaks (via CBM), a rumor revealed that Johansson will play a "serial killer obsessed with plants, who uses toxins to carry out her crimes."
This obviously point to Poison Ivy. The post goes on to say her main target is Dance's character, "the leader of a secret organization made up of the most powerful figures in the city" (the Court of Owls, no doubt). The post also mentioned that Sebastian Stan is indeed playing Victor Zsasz, not Harvey Dent.
If this turns out to be true, it could lend to the other rumor that DC is possibly working on a Poison Ivy series, similar to the Penguin spinoff that was made for HBO. If Johansson ends up in the role, I think a series would be very popular with the fans.
