New SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Fight Footage Has Marvel Fans Declaring It “Peak”
Marvel Studios is still pushing Spider-Man: Brand New Day hard, and fans are convinced they're about to witness something special. With the movie swinging into U.S. theaters on July 30, new clips and teasers have been making the rounds online, and one recently surfaced fight sequence has the Marvel fandom fired up.
The action clip quickly spread across X, where fans couldn't stop talking about how much faster, smoother, and more dynamic Tom Holland's Spider-Man looks in combat. For many viewers, it finally feels like the MCU is fully embracing just how ridiculously agile Spider-Man is supposed to be.
Fans are also pointing out that the choreography seems to pull inspiration from The Amazing Spider-Man films, particularly The Amazing Spider-Man 2, while mixing in the stylish movement fans know from the Spider-Man video games.
The result is a version of Spidey that looks more fluid than ever, with one fan saying the filmmakers have finally added some "style and sauce to his fight scenes."
The reaction online has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic. One fan wrote, "Oh, this is the best he’s moved since TASM 2, baby." Another added, "We’re finally getting Tom’s first real movie. I always knew bro had potential to outdo Tobey and Andrew if they just gave him a real movie."
It's easy to understand why fans are so excited. Brand New Day looks like it's taking Peter Parker in a completely different direction from what we've seen in the previous MCU films.
Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter has lost almost everyone in his life after the world forgot who he was. As things currently stand, there are reportedly only three people in Brand New Day who still remember Peter Parker.
Instead of dealing with multiversal chaos, Peter is back where many fans have wanted him all along as a neighborhood, street-level hero. Pair that with a lineup of dangerous villains and action sequences that already look incredible, and Brand New Day feels like the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Spider-Man rather than simply another sequel.
After multiple Spider-Man franchises across the last two decades, it can sometimes feel like the movies start blending together. Brand New Day already looks like it's carving out its own identity, and if these early action scenes are any indication, the fight choreography could end up being one of the movie's biggest highlights.
The excitement also appears to be translating into ticket sales. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has already surpassed $40 million in domestic ticket pre-sales. If those numbers continue trending upward, the film is projected to earn at least $250 million during its opening weekend, making it Hollywood's biggest debut since Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.
If those projections hold, Spider-Man could once again prove he's Marvel's biggest box office powerhouse, and Brand New Day may end up giving fans the fresh start they've been waiting for.
From the early footage alone, the web-slinger looks faster, more acrobatic, and more creative than ever. If Marvel can deliver that same energy throughout the entire movie, fans may finally get the Spider-Man they've been asking for.
Are you hyped about the fight scenes we're sure to get in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
